Abstract
The development of technologies to optimize correctional-developing work refers to a number of actual issues in contemporary speech therapy. Currently information technology is extensively applied in speech therapy. Information technologies vary in their scope. Specialized computer programs are applied to diagnose and correct speech disorders. Teachers use educational blogs, webinars, and forums in counseling and education of parents of children with speech disorders. However, there is a concern about the materials developed for speech therapy published on the Internet and free access to them. Relevant is the use of cloud technologies (e.g. Google Apps for Education) in speech therapy, including strategies to improve professional competence of speech therapists. Google Apps brings together the most popular and productive services, the effective use of which can help speech therapist organize productive interaction between all participants in the educational process by creating electronic correction methods, and developing learning environments. Use of information technology in the process of training students in speech therapy can not only increase their level of information and media literacy, but also prepare for the working conditions in modern society.
