Abstract
The paper studies the features and specifics of the selection of objects of the natural environment for
excursion and local history activities for students of the middle and higher levels of education on the
example of Minsk. Traditionally, educational tourism combines two functions – educational and sightseeing
tourism. There are three directions in educational tourism: language (foreign language courses), sports and
professional. Professional educational tourism involves both academic exchange, internships, business trips
to educational institutions and participation in scientific projects and conferences aimed at developing the
level of education quality in the process of adapting various education systems [6], and obtaining a specialty,
qualifications and additional education, including when conducting local history excursions into nature.
Within the city of Minsk, we selected sections of the Svisloch River valley within the boundaries of the
Loshitsky manor and park complex, biological objects – botanical natural monuments of local importance
within the boundaries of the Alexander Park and the «Belaya Dacha» oak-linden massif and the resources of
the boulder museum as natural objects of educational tourism.
