Abstract

The article investigates the gender strategy of myth's rethinking in the novel of M. Atwood «Penelopiad» actualizing ideological and artistic devices: psychologization of narration, deglorification of ancient heroes. Atwood proposes striking interpretations of her characters that challenge the patriarchal nature of Greek mythology.
