System of augmentative and alternative communication МАКАТОN

Abstract

The presentation gives a brief description of the system of augmentative and alternative communication using gestures, graphic images and speech - MAKATON. The system was developed in the 70s of the 20th century in the UK. At the moment, it is actively used in Russia with people who have disabilities of verbal communication skills.
