Adaptive response to alkylating agents in drosophila sex linked recessive lethal assay

Abstract

The adaptive response to alkylating agents was found by Drosophila SLRL test under conditions indicating involvement of detoxifying mechanisms rather than DNA repair, and the latter was likely to be mediated by constitutive enzymes in Drosophila germ cells.
