Abstract

The purpose of this article is to identify the main directions in modern administrative reforms, using examples of their implementation in the United States and the People’s Republic of China. The article describes the specifics of the modern administrative reforms from the perspective of political science. The basic directions of political and administrative reforms, as well as limitations in their implementation were shown. Similar trends in administrative reforms were highlighted: the customer-oriented administration, the new public management, efficiency and effectiveness of public administration, e-government, feedback, anti-corruption actions.
