Abstract

Physicians and specialists repeatedly face different clinical manifestations in their medical practice and often with fatal patients’ outcomes who abuse alcohol. The consequences of this ill for society across the country can be observed in mortality from diseases of the circulatory system of alcohol abusers. Alcohol and its metabolite - acetaldehyde have a direct toxic action/effect on the heart and cause such systemic effects as increased levels of fats in the blood plasma, a deficiency of vitamins and proteins deficit, a violation of carbohydrate and mineral metabolism. This article provides statistical data on mortality from diseases of the circulatory system caused by excessive consumption of alcohol, as well as a short algorithm of preventive measures to prevent diseases of the circulatory system
