ХУДОЖЕСТВЕННОЕ ОСМЫСЛЕНИЕ ХОЛОКОСТА СРЕДСТВАМИ МЕТАПРОЗЫ (НА ПРИМЕРЕ РОМАНА Ф. РОТА «ОПЕРАЦИЯ “ШЕЙЛОК”. ПРИЗНАНИЕ»)

Abstract

В статье рассматривается своеобразие репрезентации темы Холокоста в романе Филипа Рота «Операция “Шейлок”. Признание». В ходе исследования определен отличительный подход автора в сравнении с другими писателями, в творчестве которых имеются произведения, посвященные геноциду еврейского народа. Выявлено, что для реализации своей повествовательной стратегии Ф. Рот использует художественно-повествовательные средства метапрозы. Продемонстрировано, как с помощью этих средств американский романист осмысливает трагедию, а также демонстрирует свой взгляд на события прошлого и их влияние на современность. The article deals with the peculiarity of representation of the Holocaust theme in Philip Roth’s novel «Operation Shylock. А Confession». The author’s distinctive approach is defined in comparison with other writers, whose works are devoted to the genocide of the Jewish people. The study reveals that to realize this approach, Roth uses artistic and narrative means of metafiction. It is demonstrated how with the help of these means the American writer comprehends the tragedy, as well as demonstrates his view on the events of the past and their impact on modernity.
