Abstract

The most significant and difficult task of the strategy of the sustainable regional development for the Republic of Belarus is overcoming of the consequences after the disaster at Chernobyl NPS. The problem is that the strategy of the sustainable development of the destabilized region must be formed subject to the necessity of the native peoples wellbeing growth on the base of complex ecological, radiological, social and economic rehabilitation of the polluted areas. It is necessary to change the governmental policy of rehabilitation to the policy of revival and dynamic development of the destabilized regions.
