Abstract

The article deals with the problem of genus-genre identification of the znomov – the author's form of A. Ryazanov. The author comments the opinion of literary critics about the essayistic nature of the genre, substantiates the idea of his poetic essence. Attention is drawn to the typological heterogeneity of the znomy, the imagery of their content, the richness of the text with expressive means.
