Abstract

The article deals with approaches taken by Clinton's administration towards middle class Americans. The author analyzes ideology, substance, results and failures of the persuaed policy. He insists that the outcome depended both on the Clinton's policy itself and on institutional, political and economic circumstances, that determined limited character of final achievements.
