Abstract

Using prototype approach and dual coding approach (A. Paivio) the roles of typisation and classification at various levels of abstraction are considered. The characteristic role of the leading (by association or by abstraction) way of verbal material grouping is experimentally confirmed from the point of view of efficiency and duration of mental representations' formation.
