Abstract

The article deals with the essence of improvement of social humanitarian education at the modern university. The educational potential of social humanitarian subjects and ways of its realization for the students' professional development are determined. Improvement of content and methods of teaching social humanitarian subjects is considered on the basis of interdisciplinary tasks. Urgent topical social and scientific-practical orientation of such tasks is one of the most important characteristics of theirs. It has been experimentally proved that doing such tasks promotes development of universal socio-personal competences, which help students solve complex problems they face in social and professional life.
