Abstract
The report addresses the problems of a diachronic description of the lexical-semantic system of the Russian language from the Proto-Slavic to the present state of research on the basis of genetically close vocabulary, merged in word-formative and etymological root socket. The author proves the possibility and the need to highlight the new complex lexical units – the genetic paradigm, within which combine several etymological nests on the basis of genetic and semantic commonality components
