Abstract
The article presents findings of a comparative study on the image of the perfect university teacher that was implemented in five groups of Belarusian and Russian respondents. These findings became the basis for creating a professional profile, corresponding to modern demands to higher education that acts as a tool for harmonizing approaches to psychological and pedagogical training of higher school teachers in Belarusian and Russian universities. The aim of the study is identify concepts of the ideal university teacher by Belarusian and Russian respondents.
